The secure research
brain for R&D.

Osseus connects the tools your teams already use into one permissioned research brain, then gives every person a proactive agent that surfaces the evidence, the expert, and the next action before time and money are wasted.

Backed by Y Combinator

Osseus sits between the software your business already runs on.

These are some of the tools we connect to. If your team uses something else, we build the connector for it.

We build custom connectors for proprietary & in-house software

One brain serves every team and acts as the connective tissue between them. Software records only one slice of a business. Osseus keeps the relationships between people, experiments, decisions, suppliers, customers, and tools continuously connected with easy data flow. It then attaches each new source and memory as it appears.

R&D is fragmented.

General company brains don’t work for R&D.
Osseus connects R&D’s tools and teams, so every decision builds on what came before.

Every person gets a personal agent that learns how they work. It mirrors their clearance and confidentiality boundaries while staying grounded in the projects, decisions, and people relevant to their role. It surfaces the right evidence, expert, and next action before time and money are wasted.

Why Osseus

Keep R&D knowledge secure, current, and useful.

Avoid repeated work, find the right expert, onboard new hires faster, and preserve hard-won knowledge when people leave.

We also build and maintain connectors for your in-house tools and proprietary data systems.

Ask across everything you’re allowed to see. Osseus gives a clear answer, cites the evidence, and respects the permissions in every connected tool.

Do we already have an approved supplier for this 96-sample scRNA-seq request, and who can confirm the fit?
Yes. Northstar Genomics is approved under MSA-2025-118 through Dec 2027 and has 96% on-time delivery. Aisha Rao, the Cell Therapy scientific owner, can confirm the fit.

FAQ

Why does R&D need a research brain instead of a company brain?

A company brain organizes broad business knowledge such as policies, org charts, customer accounts, and general documentation. A research brain understands how technical work actually evolves: the evidence, experiments, failed attempts, design intent, protocol changes, and decisions behind it.

Osseus is a research brain, not a company brain. It connects every question to the relevant experiment, design, decision, source record, and expert, giving R&D teams the technical context they need to move work forward.

How is this different from Claude Enterprise or ChatGPT Enterprise connected to our tools?

Claude Enterprise and ChatGPT Enterprise are strong model interfaces. When connected to company tools, they can retrieve and summarize the current content in those systems. That is useful, but access to the current state is not the same as maintaining a history of how technical work evolved.

Osseus builds a continuous, permissioned memory over time: what was tried, what failed, why decisions were made, and who holds the relevant context. It uses that history to watch active work and proactively surface a past failure, the right expert, a stale document, or new evidence before work is repeated or blocked.

How is Osseus different from Claude for Life Sciences or Benchling AI Scientist?

They complement each other, and teams can use them at the same time. Claude for Life Sciences and Benchling AI Scientist help scientists with tasks such as reviewing literature, planning experiments, analyzing data, and writing reports.

Osseus works alongside those tools by connecting their work to knowledge across the rest of your organization: past experiments, documents, conversations, decisions, and the people with relevant experience. Osseus does not replace either tool.

How is Osseus different from Benchling, ELNs, LIMS, PDMs or PLMs?

Systems of record manage the controlled object: experimental data, product data, revisions, BOMs, releases, change control, and approvals.

Osseus does not replace them. It reads across them, plus documents, conversations, CAD, CRM, procurement systems, telemetry, simulation, and literature, so it can connect a result or design record to the decision behind it, the person who knows the context, and the next action the team should take.

Do we have to migrate data or change how teams work?

No. Your systems stay in place. A pilot usually starts with a small set of high-value connectors and one or two workflows where memory gaps already hurt, such as finding prior work, routing to the right expert, keeping SOPs current, or briefing teams before important decisions.

How do controlled SOPs and onboarding documents stay current?

Osseus detects source changes, cites the affected SOP or onboarding content, and proposes an update. It can route that change to the responsible owner and records the approval.

Osseus never silently edits a controlled SOP. The designated owner reviews and approves the change before the controlled document is updated.

How do you protect confidential work?

Osseus mirrors your existing permissions and keeps personal, team, organization, and client memory separate. An agent can only retrieve what its owner is already allowed to see.

Promotion into shared memory is governed and logged, and deployments can run with your own API keys, cloud, or VPC. Your data is not used to train foundation models. SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR documentation is available upon request. See our security page.

Can Osseus surface failed work that was never published or written into an SOP?

Yes. That is one of the main jobs. Osseus can index lab notes, design reviews, meeting transcripts, tickets, decks, replays, simulations, and internal reports, then match active work to prior failures and lessons learned.

The point is to stop teams from repeating a dead end just because the result was never formally published.
